Protocol Reference

OPA: Measure ear to corner of mouth. Contraindicated if gag reflex present
NPA: Measure nostril to earlobe. Lubricate before insertion. Use if patient has gag reflex
BVM: EC-clamp technique. Rate 10–12/min (1 breath every 5–6 sec). 1 breath = 1 sec
